About LAPIC
The laboratory encompasses the research groups coordinated by Drs. Daniela Basseres, Deborah Schechtman and Eduardo Reis. At LAPIC, multidisciplinary projects are developed using approaches from biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology and genomics to advance fundamental knowledge related to the molecular and cellular processes involved in oncogenesis and tumor progression (Profs. Daniela Bassèsses and Eduardo Reis) and in cell signaling and mechanisms (Deborah Schechtman), with potential for the development of new clinically relevant targets and treatments for cancer and pain.
